Have you ever observed that the owner of Facebook, Mr. Mark Zuckerberg, usually wears the same color of T-shirts and trousers every day? It is not because he has no money to buy the different types of dress. But it is because of the FREEDOM OF NO CHOICE.
So, what do you mean by FREEDOM OF NO CHOICE? FREEDOM OF NO CHOICE is not about indecisiveness. It is a conscious practice of avoiding any nonessential choices in order to save or preserve brain cells for the consequential decisions that occasionally arise in a day.
Extensive research shows that the process of making a choice probably represents the biggest expenditure of our mental energy each day. It leads to depletion, which can ultimately lead to bad decisions.
To live a life, one has to make choices every day. Choices define the path of our careers and life. If our brain consumes a lot of energy to make choices and if that choices have no consequential impact on our life, then we are wasting the scarce resources of the brain.
To lead a better life, one should have a better understanding of how the brain works and how the brain should be directed to make a choice that has an everlasting impact on life.
To conclude, Mark Zuckerberg applies the FREEDOM OF NO CHOICE in his life regarding dressing sense and concentrating on his routine work. Interestingly Mark was a student of psychology.
