The world is always impressed by the American way of life. The global population wanted to imitate the American way of life.

But, what is the American way of life?

To drive cars, and yachts, use enormous natural resources in the form of petrol, diesel, and tissue paper or eat pizza and drink coke is an American way of life. No, this may not be the American way of life.

This type of lifestyle is now available in other parts of the world also like western Europe and Western Asia. So, the American way of lifestyle may be somewhat different from that of it.

The American way of life is more related to their society. We define society as a network of institutions and their institutionalised interactions with each other. But at the centre of the institutions is the American man. Generally, these American people are more spontaneous and liberal in their behaviour and in their interaction with each other. They are not much regulated by family, caste, cult or religion. This led to unstable human relationships in American society. So, we find more and more individualism in the American way of life. There appears to be more freedom in American life in all aspects whether it is political, social, economic or cultural.

It is observed that when people from other parts of the world migrate to the USA, they do not want to go back to their homeland. The reason might be the availability of individual space for migrants which might not have been experienced by them in their homeland.

To conclude, the American way of life is more concerned with the internal space of life rather than the external space of life.
